ThePlatinum Izumo Raden Galaxy fountain pen features an ebony carved body which is then coated in Urushi nuri (Japanese lacquer)and finished withfinely crushed mother-of-pearlto create the reflection of light. After about 4 months of lacquering, drying, and polishing, the "Galaxy" where countless stars emerge from jet black is born.

The Raden Izumo fountain pen is set in a wooden gift box with a 30ml glass bottle of Platinum Blue-Black ink, a Platinum Blue-Black ink cartridge, a Platinum converter with gold trim, and a silver gray pen pouch.
