The name Haikara is derived from the English High Collar, a word coined around the turn-of-the-century in Japan to describe the fashion of dressing in Western clothes. While originally somewhat derogatory, the term has evolved now into a far more nostalgic term of endearment. Nostalgia is something Teranishi has by the bucketload.

With its velvety peach colour, Teranishi Opera Rose feels as though it was inspired by the velvet lounges of 1940s theatres. With generous amounts of shading, Opera Rose is as far from dull and boring as one can get.
